Large framed Holstein stallion Helenenhof’s Catoo presents himself full of type and with strong movements. This model athlete made headlines as the first Holstein German National Young Horse Champion stallion at the age of four.
Catoo’s father Con Air and Lars Bak Andersen won several Nations Cups with the Danish team as well as top placements in European Grand Prix. With rider Otto Becker, he won the Grand Prix of Hachenburg. Both were member of the victorious team of the final of the Nations Cup in Madrid in 2008. With his new owner Jose Larocca (Argentine), he successfully took part in the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010.
Catoo’s mother, state premium mare Flair, is grandmother of Canto, the Holstein Champion Stallion of 2004. Canto impressively played to the gallery with his first year of foals. His son Cantoblanco was Champion of the licensing in Neumünster in 2008. Canto’s daughter Crystal was the priciest three-year-old horse (85,000 Euros) at the Holstein elite auction in Neumünster in 2009.
For three generations, the dam line of Catoo provided offspring with successes at advanced level. The son of Birkeness by Landgraf I, Lovely Boy (Norbert Koof) is reckoned as the most successful of them.
In 2010, Catoo was the best stallion of is stallion performance test in Schlieckau and won with a score of 142,69 points ahead of 48 other stallions.
In 2011, under the saddle of rider Markus Suchalla, Con Air’s son was German National Young Horse Champion of the four-year-old riding stallions. Helenenhof’s Catoo’s foals presented themselves elastic and with strong movements. At the foals assessment, he obtained a breeding value of 123 points, in the sections gait and momentum he obtained 134 points.
In 2012, Catoo won a series of elementary dressage tests and qualified to the German National Young Horses Championships again.
In 2013, out of his first year of foals his son Catoons Son was licensed in Neumünster and is subsequently sold to an internationally successful dressage rider. Another son was licensed in Kreuth.
In 2015, Catoo was placed in advanced level dressage tests. The Schwiebert family continued his schooling at the Helenenhof. Catoo was licensed by the Hanoverian Breeders Association and therefore is available for Hanoverian breeders.
