Never before: L’Espoir achieved the best Danish 35 day test to date with 944 points. He received three perfect 10.0s – two in the disciplines of canter and temperament – and his lowest score was 9.0. At the Odense CDI he won the championship qualifier with a score of 9.1 and in the final for four-year-old dressage horses he came second with 8.64. L’Espoir was Reserve Dressage Champion at the Mecklenburg licensing and outstanding champion stallion at the Danish licensing in 2009. “When he trotted through the indoor arena, every part of this stallion was in motion. He has an energetic leg action with fluent movement through the back,” said the judges in Redefin.
L’Espoir was sired by Bundeschampion and Vice World Champion Lord Loxley. Lord Loxley has ten advanced dressage class wins and over 23 approved stallions among his offspring, including numerous premium status stallions and reserve licensing champions, such as Bundeschampion Laetare. His daughter FS La Noire was Rhenish champion mare and Bundeschampion. Lord Loxley, by Bundeschampion and Grand Prix winner Lord Sinclair, is considered to be one of the best contemporary dressage sires around.
