Nekton was born in 2000 and is a great value to the Holsteiner breed, not only because his sire is the great Nimmerdor. He also comes from a great dam line, like Viola who goes back to the Dithmarsh mare line. Legend is the daughter of Viola, a Caletto II-daughter and full sister to the approved stallion Casado. Viola is none other than the dam of Dobel’s Cento, one of the best and most successful show jumping stallions in the international warmblood breeding with Otto Becker -> team gold medal at the Olympics in 2000 in Sydney and many more victories.
Nekton by the great Nimmerdor, son of the Holsteiner stallion Fern from a Dutch mare, the thoroughbred line derived from the thoroughbred Koridon, one of the best sires in European Warmblood breeding. He himself was an international success with Albert Voorn in sports. The two occupied top positions in a number of World Cup competitions and excelled at the tournament in Berlin, Paris, Gothenburg, Dortmund and London. With over 30 licensed sons, he has taken the dominant influence on the Dutch showjumping horse breeding. Nimmerdor has one of the highest jumping index of all Duch stallions.
Nekton was with 143 index points in jumping best stallion of the stallion performance test in Adelaide village. During his first show season he won with Tina Vesterlund in jumping tests Class A and L, was fourth at the State Championships of 5 -year-old Holsteiner jumping horses in Elmshorn and was qualified for the Federal Championships in Warendorf.2006.

Nekton went under saddle with Lars Bak Andersen, with whom he again qualified for the Federal Championships. 7 – and 8-year old, he was already jumping in the class S * victorious, 2009, he was victorious in S ** and was highly placed in S *** jumping. In the 2010 season he was hurt but in 2011 Nekton was again slowly prepared for the first tournaments. In August, he already could be placed under Lars Bak Andersen on Dobrock. In the 2012 season he was able to present excellent jumping in the class S * and won two tests. Nekton was already heavily frequented as a young stallion and could produce outstanding foals. His son Nerrado from a Corrado I-Aldan-mare, achieving a record price of 100,000 euros at the auction of non-licensed stallions in Neumünster 2007. In 2008, a Nekton-son Nektos was licensed and awarded a premium. 2009, with Neurite and Nerrado two other descendants licensed. They were both auctioned and both achieved a price of 65,000 euros. Nekton can already point to five licensed sons and eleven state premium mares. Nazario is currently the most successful son of Nekton. This Nekton offspring, born in 2004, placed and won under his rider Michael S Kölz international and national Jumping Class S.
